Where Does The Time Go?

I guess I have a little bit of catching up to do.

You would think that I had a LOT of catching up to do since I haven’t blobbed since the beginning of February! But, while I stay pretty darned busy around here, it’s mostly the same old thing and there’s only so much you can say about cleaning up poop.

Let’s start with the main culprits in the poop production department.

In March I made a quick trip to Michigan to Deliver Miss Matilda Magillacuddy to meet her one true love, Wapi, at the Howell Nature Center.

The introduction went perfectly and they were cuddling together on the very first night. Both Matilda and Wapi have similar disabilities so they understand each other. Here’s a close up of her handsome new beau

A match made in heaven.

Matilda seemed to love her new accommodations as well. A big pond and a heated shed. Life is good!

That whole thing left BB feeling a bit lonely though.

The big news about Miss BB though is that BB is a MR!!!  No doubt about it, he showed me his business! Later this month he will be released to go and search for his own true love. Please say a prayer for both him and for Mr C and I, as this is the most difficult part of wildlife rehabilitation… turning them loose into the big scary world where you can’t protect them anymore. It’s the BEST thing too… but it still makes your heart hurt.

Michi and Pita are growing like weeds and will move to the outdoor enclosure once BB has moved to the wild blue yonder. Not a moment too soon as they have outgrown the basement tank!

Let’s see… the other biggest poop producer…

Thank goodness Mr. C has taken on most of THOSE poop scoopin duties!

Spring has started to spring here on The Hill so gardening chores are being added to the daily to-do list. But I’m still going to TRY to get back on the blobbing bandwagon.

Thanks for being patient with me.

Those beavers are just like kids –it’s hard to let them fly free, too. You’re a great Mama.
