The Ladies
March 11, 2013Right before Mr C and I went to Greensboro a few weeks ago one of our hens, Grace, got sick. I gave her some antibiotics before we left but fully expected her to be dead by the time we got back the next night. She surprised me though and was still hanging on when we got back. So I brought her up to live in the greenhouse to stay warm and receive 3 doses of anti bacterial antibiotics a day along with a lot of extra treats and yogurt oatmeal mash.
After a week of pampering she decided to go ahead and get better. Now she and Prudence are the best of friends and enjoying free-ranging on The Hill.
