Being Green

June 18, 2009

Seems like we’ve finally gotten the filtering system for Paddy’s ‘pond’ figured out. While the water is still somewhat brownish looking, you can see all the way down to the bottom so it’s all good.
We’re using a sand pool filter that needs to be back washed usually a couple of times a day and I couldn’t stand the thought of all of that good ‘fertilized’ water going to waste so I came up with the idea of making a pipe sprinkler for the garden. It works great and takes only minutes to get everything watered… gotta love that!

  8. I like this re-use, re-cycling of water. I’d love to be able to re-cycle my bath tub, washing machine, dishwasher water for my garden/yard, but, city regulations say no.
    Good job!
